This is a simply beautiful, and rather unusual 18ct gold, 5 stone diamond ring. It is fully hallmarked for 18ct gold and Chester, but the date mark is no longer legible. This style of ring is typical of the late victorian period, so I would date it to the late 1800s.

Comprising 5 small diamonds in gypsy starburst settings, this ring is durable and robust, a perfect ring for everyday wear. It would also make a wonderful engagement ring.

The ring is a currently size UK size J 1/2 (USA Size 6) but it has a solid shank and could be resized up or down within reason. It weighs 2.10g.
